Hear me out, Mangoes are one of my fruit addictions. When I see any dessert or dish garnished with mangoes, It’s automatically good for me. Caesar Salad, Cakes and my creation back then (Grilled Mustard Porkchop with Mango Chutney) was awesome. It will be at it’s most delicious especially when it comes fresh from the market and/or straight from Guimaras Island, Philippines. As you see, the picture above is one of the few simple desserts I made from ingredients you can conveniently find in an average grocery(or even your pantry).
Ingredients: 1 small box of Cornflakes, 6 small cups of Greek Yogurt (Or Plain Yogurt will do) , 1/4 cup of Oatmeal (uncooked), pinch of sugar, 3 pieces of medium sized mangoes, Condensed milk (optional). ~Serves 3
First, grab some tall dessert glasses (or whatever container you prefer), and start with either yogurt or oatmeal. Second, glaze a small amount of condensed milk over solids and then afterwards, pour in yogurt. Third, prepare mangoes by either cutting them into thin slices or carving them out into small bits using a spoon and pouring them over. Do this continually as desired. When you reach the tip of the glass, cover with mango puree or bits and sprinkle cornflakes and a pinch of sugar. Just a reminder, don’t go overboard with the sugar (lol).
Simple, right? It can take you just a few minutes to whip up this simple, healthy yet filling snack. Plus, you can have other different fruits for this one.
I hope you enjoyed making and eating them as much as I did!
Happy Wednesday everyone!
Before you go, give a listen to Instant Crush by Daft Punk ft. Julian Casablancas, one of my favorites from the recently released album of Daft Punk, Random Acess Memories that highlights synths, robot voices and dirty guitar riffs. I’ve been on repeat on this one…Enjoy!
